By consolidating the interests of two continuing care retirement communities and one hospice organization, Presbyterian Communities and Services was established as a not-for-profit
organization in May of 2008. Since 1980, the Presbyterian Village North (PVN) campus has offered a full range of residential choices, care services and fulfilling programs with a deep commitment to life-long learning, wellness, and faith. Located on 63 garden-like acres in North Dallas, the full continuum of care includes over 500 units including executive homes, patio homes, and garden apartments for retirement living, supportive assisted living, skilled nursing and rehabilitation and certified Alzheimer’s and dementia care.
The project consists of a 10 year master plan to provide expansion, updating and financial re-positioning. PVN will convert the rate structure from a traditional amortizing CCRC structure to an entry deposit rental. The first phase refinancing of $92 million was creatively financed with both tax exempt bonds and local bank participation. The expansion opening in 2016 includes the addition of 104 independent living units, 71 assisted living units and 60 skilled units specifically designed for rehabilitation services.
This project was co-developed with Senior Housing Partners.
